Before you write
I deleted a note or folder by mistake.
Open Settings › Recently Deleted. Everything you delete stays there for 30 days, images included, and goes back where it was.
A note changed and I want the old text.
Open the note, tap … › Version History, and pick an earlier version. Restoring keeps the current text as a version too.
I'm getting a new iPhone.
Your notes move with an iPhone or iCloud backup. To be extra safe, use Settings › Import & Export › Export All Notes (.zip) first.
